DRUG EDUCATION FOR MOTHERS IN PRASUNG AND SIDOKERTO VILLAGES BUDURAN SUB-DISTRICT, SIDOARJO DISTRICT

The problem of substance abuse has become a national issue, meaning it occurs throughout Indonesia, in both rural and urban areas.
The problem of substance abuse among adolescents is also likely to occur in Prasung and Sidokerto villages, Buduran District, Sidoarjo Regency.
Increasing knowledge and awareness of the role of housewives in adolescent and substance abuse is expected to minimize the widespread distribution and abuse of drugs. The methods used in the community service program include field observation, developing a needs plan for implementation, obtaining permits, implementing the service, evaluating it, and compiling a final report. The results of the activities included seminars and training related to substance abuse and adolescents, attended by 50 women from each village. The seminars covered understanding drugs and their problems, healthy adolescents without drugs, and laws and regulations related to drug crimes, both as users and dealers. The conclusion of these activities was that the PKK women from Prasung and Sidokerto villages successfully implemented the seminars and training. After the activity is completed, an evaluation will be carried out.
